Day 17 Activity 1

Which landmark would I like to visit and why?

I would visit the Batu Caves because of the amazing history behind them.

It is said that the caves were formed over 400 million years ago...that means that it was probably formed during the Mesozoic Era (the time when dinosaurs ruled the earth!)

Some of the entrances to the cave were used as shelters by the indigenous Temuan people.

Wow that is really cool, Harrison. I think I would like to visit that place too. Great tourist research.

Some of my most memorable trips have been to ancient temples throughout Asia. There have been some really old wooden ones which are thousands of years old which still amaze me. How can wood last that long!?

Japan

Korea - this one is quite hard to get to.

Hanoi

I also really enjoyed this temple in Thailand but it's not as old.

Keep up the great work.
